Prior to joining The Thames Advantage, Lori had a successful 15 year career in state government becoming familiar with the legislative process as a part of her work. While employed in state government, she was responsible for developing compliance with state and federal laws for her agency as well as conducting training on working with the legislature and team development. In addition, Lori worked with the Mississippi Families as Allies as an advocate and spent time at the Capitol working to pass legislation relevant to that group. As a result of her work with that group, Lori was named "Family Member of the Year". Most recently, Lori was recruited as the Manager of Records and retention to Houston Community College, which is nation’s fourth largest Community College and serves 80,000 students.
Lori holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business Administration. While employed in State Government, she earned the Certified Public Manager designation.
Lori brings to The Thames Advantage experience in working with government and community agencies, developing non-profit organizations, fundraising, public relations and working in high pressure situations.
